Every right or wrong sect, every good or bad association and every benevolent or evil party has its ideological principles and believing issues that limit its goals and lead its working method and it become as constitutions for its members and followers.
And whoever wants to be a member in any one of them will have a look and understand its principles, if he or she satisfied with them and convinced they were right and accept them with his open mind and internal intellect and he has no doubt, he will apply to it and become a regular member and follower and he must do works required by the principles and pays fee set by the rules and after that he must show his devotion to those principles through his behaviors, he will remember them all the time and never violate them and becomes good ideal for others and he a real promoter for it.
So membership in it means knowing its rules, believing its principles, obeying it judgments and behaving according to its requirements , this is a general case applied to Islamism. So whoever wants to convert to Islam must accept its reasoning principles and believe decisively in them to be his faith.
These principles are concluded in believing that this materialistic world is not every thing and this life is not the only life Mankind neither created himself nor was created by objects around him that because he is mindful and they are mindless and he and they all were created from nothing by one God he is the one who bring all beings to life and causes them to die. He is the one who created all things and if He wants he can destroy them and made them disappear and this God never is alike to any of these worlds. He is old has no beginning, ever lasts has no end capable without any limitations knowledgeable nothing is beyond His knowledge , He is just but his justice can not be measured with human measures. He is the one who made rules controlling the universe, what we call natural laws and He made every thing in specific amount and He preordained their kinds and parts and what ever happen to them( movements, standstill, firm, changing and doing and not doing and gave human a mind with he can control a lot of his matters a mind that make select what he wants and a will makes him achieve what he chooses and He made a second life after this temporary life when He rewards the benevolent by letting him into paradise and punish the malevolent with the Hell fire.
This God is one and has no partner to worship with and no mediator to help us get closer to Him or to intercede with Him without His permission, so worshipping is only solely for Him with all aspects. He has creatures apparent to us that realized by senses and others unapparent , some are objects others are alive and responsible and some of them are pure for sole goodness (they are the angels) and some are for sole evil deeds (they are the devils) and others who are a mix between evil and goodness and beneficial and unbeneficial ( they are human and jinn)
God chooses from human whoever He wants to send the angel Gabriel with the message of prophecy to covey to people, these are the messengers of God. These messages are laws in Holy books and sheets of papers sent down from Heaven, the latest abolishes the previous one or edit it or accept it. The last Book is Qur’an which was revealed to the last prophet( Mohammed)(Peace Be Upon Him). The previous books were changed by people and lost and forgotten. Qur’an is the unchangeable book remained safe from changes and from being lost. By this prophecy and messages were concluded, so no messenger or book will come after that.
Qur’n is the Islamic constitution and whoever believes in it entirely will be called a believer and believing here only known by God because human can’t know what inside others’ hear so Muslims must consider a believer one of them when he announces that he be witness that no God but Allah and Mohammed is His messenger and he agrees to do all adorations he is supposed to do as a Muslim He will be a Muslim and a citizen of a Muslim country if he lives in it and he will have all the rights Muslims have.
These adorations (pillars of Islam) are few and easy and neither are very hard nor are interdicted .
The first one is praying many Rakats ( a course of standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting) two in the morning, four in the afternoon, three after sunset and four at night but he must take a shower if he had sexual intercourse if not he should perform ablution before praying( washing in a special way). In these prayers he commune with God ,ask Him goodness and he seeks refuge with God from His punishment.
These five obligatory prayers will take only half an hour in total( a few minutes each)
They can be done in any place , with any Muslim without a mediator and for all virtues of Islam.
The second pillar is fasting ( stop eating, drinking and having sexual intercourse from dawn to the sunset) for the whole month of Ramadan (the ninth month of the lunar calendar), so this month will the month of rest for the stomach, comfort for oneself, practice for his manners, good for his health and a social aspect for people benevolent gathering and a symbol for the equality of living of all people in the Muslim society.
The third pillar is Alms which is 2.5% of the saving when completed one year in safe given to eight kinds of poor and most needy people in the Islamic society. It will not be hard to do and will be a great support to the needy that will be a social security and solve the poverty problem which is the biggest social problem.
The fourth pillar is attending a big meeting called Hajj to perform (pilgrimage) once in life time on the 12th month of the lunar system ( the month of pilgrimage) if a person has the ability to go to Makkah, Saudi Arabia ( the ability means having god health, money and needs for traveling to Makkah). Knowing that in Islam there are four periodical meetings ; first, daily meetings for praying five times a day, second, weekly meetings on Fridays for Friday prayer, third, annually there are two prayers one after completing the fasting of Ramadan and the second during pilgrimage time on the tenth of the month of pilgrimage , fourth the once in life time meeting for pilgrimage mentioned above. Attending these meetings is an obligation but there is no punishment for not attending them but a person will miss reward from God and will be a sinner. These are the main obligatory kinds of worshipping in Islam. In addition, there are another kinds of worshipping, these are the forbidden things that all wise people agree that they are evil and must be avoided; some of these are killing, aggression, stealing, oppressing , drinking alcoholics , adultery , usury, cheating, treachery, running away from fighting enemies of Islam, being undutiful to parents, lying swear, fake witnessing and all similar evil deeds
If a Muslim neglected or ignored any obligation or commit any forbidden thing then he/she repented and asked God forgiveness God will forgive them, if he/she does not repent he/she is still a Muslim (if he/she still believe in them) but he/she is considered a disobedient person deserve punishment on the day of judgment and it is a temporary punishment under God’s will.
But if a Muslim deny some principle beliefs, an obligation or forbidden deeds or has doubt on them that will be a retreat from Islam and that is a big sin and a crime similar to a great betray in modern time laws, death is its punishment if he/she does not repent.
A hypocrite is a person who converts to Islam orally and performs worshipping but he really does not believe in Islam and does that to spy on Muslims and ruins their belief
This will be punished by God in the day of judgment by sending him/her to so far down the Hellfire because God knows all the secrets in human hearts.
If people believed in the basic Islamic principles which are the absolute belief in God without a partner, believing in the angels, all prophets and messengers of God, His holy books, the second life, the predetermine fate and
announce that they be witnesses that no God but Allah and prophet Mohamed is His messenger, pray the five prayers a day, fast the month of Ramadan , pay alms and perform pilgrimage once in life time and forbear from all forbidden deeds, he will be a Muslim and a believer but the fruit of his belief will be proven by he behaviors. The prophet(peace be upon him) has summarized that in one sentence when said( benevolence is when you worship God as if you see Him in reality and if you don’t see him surely He sees you) that means A Muslim must keep God in his mind and remember Him all the time in every second of his life, day and night, in every move he makes, in every word he says, he prays and call Him and if he disobeyed Him he repent God will forgive him.
This is Islam with its easy simple most merciful and most beneficial and convenient laws for mankind, that can be understood and comprehend by the educated and illiterate and by the young and the adult person , so Islam is the religion of peace and forgiveness.
